ZA-27 is the strongest and lightest of all the gravity cast zinc alloys with a reported yield strength of 54 ksi as a sand casting. It is the lightest of all the zinc alloys due to its 27% aluminum content. ZA-27 sand casting is excellent alloy choice when coverting low volume stampings or weldments in other materials such as stainless steel.
